When to visit Mallorca

The island works year-round. Match the season to beaches, hiking or city weekends.

Spring (Mar–May)

Mild days, almond blossom early on, fewer crowds. Ideal for villages, walks and Palma without peak heat.

Summer (Jun–Aug)

Beach season, long evenings and busy resorts. Book transfers early for late flights and weekend arrivals.

Autumn (Sep–Nov)

Warm sea into October, harvest markets and softer light in the Tramuntana. A sweet spot for couples and hikers.

Winter (Dec–Feb)

Quiet roads, crisp mountain air and city culture. Golf, cycling and weekend breaks work well with private pickups.

Skip the first rental day

Land, clear arrivals and go straight to the hotel. Collect a hire car later if you still want one for island roaming.

Plan around the season

July–August fill resorts and mountain parking. Shoulder months give easier roads and the same turquoise water into October.
